Who We Are:
Home Ownership for Minority Empowerment (HOME) provides tools and resources to get homeless veterans off the street and keep them off. By “minority” we do not mean in the ethnic or racial sense. Each individual is a minority of one with unique needs, challenges, abilities and potential. HOME will provide transitional housing for these veterans, including those recently released from incarceration. Counseling will also be offered for substance abuse, PTSD, and employment. HOME is a privately owned entity headed by Cheryl Kyler. As a female-led business, HOME differs from most other organizations servicing this market and is better oriented toward assisting female veterans.
